#DublinMadeMe

I know what you’re thinking. I have been in Dublin for under three months- how can Dublin make me?

It turns out that Dublin is a contender for the 2020 title of the Cultural Capital of Europe. And in appreciation of this, a market was held in its honour, a market called Dublin Made Me, with lots of home grown produce and an all round Irish feel. Is it just me or is this beginning to sound a lot like the Irish version of a Morrison’s advert? Anyway, here is me with something I saw being made at the market:

Voila!

More exploring; I somehow ended up on North Bull Island! Another thing I can tick off my list. This has got to be one of the most beautiful beaches I have been to, despite the windy weather upon arrival.

North Bull Island!

An incredibly serene day…

And at the arrival of November comes the celebration of December- Christmas!! No, it is not too early to be talking about this, since the lights have already gone up all around town. The city centre has never looked prettier!

The Irish Gaelic equivalent of Merry Christmas- “Nollaig Shona Dhuit”

As I write this, sat in the airport, waiting for my flight number to be called, I reflect on the past couple of months and thus far , my decision to do this year abroad is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Do it, guys.. You will not regret it!

But of course, returning home for ‘study’ week sounds awesome.
