Having lived abroad for the past five years I have become quite the expert at packing. It’s inevitable – when you live abroad there is no way for your parents to drop you off or pick you up with a car that has lots of extra space for luggage, there is no way to send parcels home cheaply, and airlines all have baggage limits that allow for 20-30 kg maximum. Hence I have learned to pack exactly what is necessary, to consider which things can be bought later, and how to select clothes that can work for every season.
Now it is that time again. I’m packing to leave Georgia, and I’ve only got a big backpack and a small suitcase for hand luggage. This time it was not that hard to pack – I was here only for summer, so no need to bring that many different clothes. Moreover…
